A Dorset based charity is asking for people to nominate someone or an organisation to receive gifts donated by global music companies.
But hurry, the deadline to nominate is Christmas Eve, December 24.
The Absolute Music Trust is giving away Christmas gifts to those who deserve something extra special this festive season.
They include two drum kits from Natal and Roland, 12 ukuleles from Brunswick, four guitars from Fender and nine keyboards from Yamaha.
The total value runs into thousands of pounds.
The charity would like people to get in touch and suggest an individual, community group or a charity.
This could be someone who has positively contributed to society during the epidemic – a doctor, a nurse or care worker, a parent who has coped and helped others, a teacher, someone who has been unwell, a sponsor who has gone above and beyond or a community group or charity who would benefit from brand new instruments.
Other ideas are also welcome.
The gifts have been organised by Absolute Music’s Commercial Director, Jamie Clayton.
He said: “The global brands we supply in our superstore have been so keen to support the community and our own charity.
“The stock amounts to thousands of pounds and we are delighted to give it all away to people who deserve recognition and something special this Christmas.
“Anyone can nominate as we hope to get an influx of suggestions and the winners will be contacted during the holidays.”
The Absolute Music Trust is a charity delivering music workshops for those less fortunate such as children with severe learning disabilities, people struggling with addiction, teenagers coping with anxiety and low income families.
Alan Barclay, Managing Director, Absolute Music, and CEO of the charity, said: “It has been a tough year for so many and our music projects have had to stop due to the lockdowns.
“We are hoping for a busy year in 2021 where we will continue our mission to enrich lives through music.
“We are grateful to our suppliers who have been generous in donating such amazing gifts.”
The Absolute Music Trust also provides music lessons in schools, encouraging the arts to remain in education.
Nominations can be emailed to suzy@absolutemusic.co.uk with the name of the person/organisation, the gift(s) you would like them to receive and why you think they deserve recognition.
