Welcome to Goadsby’s property roundup for August, where we bring you the latest developments in the region’s dynamic property market.
This month, we highlight the exciting transformation of an iconic building, a significant industrial sale at Bournemouth Airport, and the continued expansion of a beloved bakery chain.
From historic refurbishments to strategic investments, here’s what’s making waves in Bournemouth.
Iconic Bournemouth building offers modern office space
Bournemouth’s historic Bobby’s building, originally a department store dating back to 1915, has been given a fresh lease of life.
The iconic structure has undergone extensive remodelling and refurbishment, resulting in top-quality accommodation suitable for various uses. Following successful lettings to companies like Patch, Gozney, and The Botanist, an additional 11,000 sq ft of prime office space is now available.
Verve Properties Ltd, the respected developers behind the project, have ensured the building’s period features have been preserved and enhanced.
The office floors feature modern amenities such as air conditioning, a new lift, and high-quality lighting. Unique touches include dedicated entrances, large crittall windows, and generous floor-to-ceiling heights, alongside communal outdoor spaces.
Goadsby and Omega RE have been appointed to market the new office spaces, which benefit from their central location in Bournemouth.

Bournemouth Airport sees industrial investment sold
A significant industrial property at Bournemouth Airport, Ocean House, has been sold by Goadsby on behalf of a private investor.
The modern, detached building, which spans 13,615 sq ft, includes an expansion plot and had attracted interest from local, regional, and national investors.
Built in 2002 by the client for their own business, the property was highly regarded for its HQ-style design and spacious landscape setting.
The sale was concluded with the property under a 10-year lease and a passing rent of £116,000 per annum. The deal was completed at a price of £1.8 million plus VAT.
