A leading multinational sports nutrition brand based in Dorset has partnered with one of the world’s top cycling teams.
Precision Fuel & Hydration (PF&H), which works with some of the biggest names in world sport, will develop personalised fuelling and hydration strategies for Lotto Dstny.

The team competes in major cycling events, including the Tour de France.
The Christchurch-based firm has worked with World Cup football squads, Premier League clubs, Olympic athletes and Wimbledon tennis aces and many other of the world’s top sports stars.
It will also supply Lotto Dstny with its exclusive fuelling and hydration products to help the team realise its full potential during training and competitions during the 2023 season.
PF&H, which is led by former elite endurance athlete and renowned sports scientist Andy Blow, will also provide its patented sweat test technology to identify each rider’s sweat rate and content to inform their individual hydration needs.

Andy, pictured, said: “We’re really excited to be working with Lotto Dstny and have been extremely impressed so far with the team’s attention to detail and their dedication to perfecting their fuelling and hydration strategies so that they can perform at their best when it counts.”
Lotto Dstny’s star rider Victor Campenaerts, who broke Sir Bradley Wiggins’ world hour record for cycling in 2019, played a key role in introducing PF&H to the team.
It came after the Belgian started using the brand’s products, which include energy gels, chews, carb drink mix, electrolyte tablets and electrolyte capsules.
Gino Devriendt, Lotto Dstny’s Head Nutritionist, said: “As nutritionists, we are very happy to have Precision Fuel & Hydration on board.
“PF&H’s science-based products will help our riders during their races and training rides.
“The drinks, energy gels, chews and electrolyte tablets are all easily absorbed by the body.
“But the most important to us, are the possibilities to personalise our riders’ nutrition.
“They are willing to listen and adapt to our input, together with the specialists of the University of Ghent.
“We will all benefit from this collaboration.”
PF&H has an illustrious history in the cycling world, having previously developed hydration strategies for fellow Tour de France hopefuls, Team DSM.

Jonny Tye, pictured left, PF&H Director, said the business was planning to grow its product range for cyclists.
He said: “We’re already developing a new product in collaboration with the team, based on feedback from the riders, performance staff and soigneurs.
“We are confident we will have a positive impact on the team’s performance.”
Precision Fuel & Hydration was founded in 2011 by former elite endurance athlete, Andy Blow.
A leading sports scientist with a BSc Honours degree in Sports and Exercise Science from the University of Bath, he is an expert in hydration and sports nutrition and has co-authored several scientific studies and books.
Andy is the former team sports scientist for the Benetton and Renault Formula 1 teams and remains an adviser to the Porsche Human Performance Centre at Silverstone.
He has finished in the top 10 of Ironman and Ironman 70.3 races, as well as winning an XTERRA Age Group World title.
It was Andy’s own struggles with cramp that led to him specialising in hydration and founding Precision Fuel & Hydration.
The business offers sweat testing at more than 50 centres in over 20 countries around the world, including UK, US, Australia and Canada.

It uses patented and scientifically-proven tools and products to deliver bespoke hydration and fuelling plans for elite athletes across a variety of disciplines, including athletics, football, rugby, F1 and US sports.
Experts work with athletes to understand their hydration requirements and provide a range of products to manage their needs for training and events.
Having begun as a sports hydration brand, PF&H introduced its exclusive PF fuelling range in 2022.
