Lexy Browning, founder and owner of Ferndown-based Made By Me Craft Parties, hosted an intimate party recently to celebrate 10 years in business.

Her company runs craft sessions for children, teens and adults at birthday parties, hen parties and craft classes.

She’s also recently launched corporate and team building craft workshops.

With more than 100 five-star reviews across Google and Facebook, Lexy has gathered a loyal local following – with plenty of customers, small business owners, friends and family joining her for the celebrations at The Hub on the Heath in Poole.

Guests took part in some of her new craft activities for adults, including decorating make-up bags, painting flowerpots and decoupage.

One guest said: “I was blown away by the whole event.

“The attention to detail was incredible, beautiful crafts, delicious cakes and fantastic company.

“Thank you for a wonderful experience!”

Highlights for the business over the last ten years include creating bespoke craft kits for Children with Cancer charity during lockdown and running activities for an event hosted by TV show Oddbods.

Lexy has also run a flower crown craft station at a private festival and won Creative of the Year at the Successful Women in Business Awards 2018.

“I set up Made By Me Craft Parties to work around my young family, and now my children help me with the business,” she said.

“I couldn’t be prouder of my company for bringing joy to children at their birthday parties and for teaching adults the pleasure of crafting and taking time for themselves.

“I can’t wait to see what the next 10 years hold.”

Lexy will be at the Alpine Lodge at Bournemouth Christmas Market on selected dates throughout December for pre-booked customers.
