Two headline sponsors have been announced for this year’s Beach Yoga Fest.

They are Marshall BMW Bournemouth and Yoga Lounge Bournemouth.

This year’s event – the UK’s only beach yoga festival – is only the second to be held and is from Friday June 18 to Sunday June 20.

It will once again be looking to attract a variety of participants, from beginners to the more experienced yogi.

The three-day event will feature more than 60 classes including Yin Yoga, Sun Salutation Sunset Yoga Gong Bath, Ashtanga, Sunrise Meditation, Acro Yoga and Energising Yoga Flow.

There will also be seminars, wellbeing classes and massage for people to take part in.

Amber Fidler, of Yoga Lounge Bournemouth, said: “Yoga Lounge is thrilled to be involved in such a unique and innovative festival – bringing a weekend of yoga suitable for everyone on our very own award-winning beach.”

Nina Fox, who co-founded Beach Yoga Fest with Ali Sheik, pictured left, said: “We are really excited to be putting on the festival again.

“Lockdown has really shone a light on how people have dealt with their mental and physical well-being.

“We want to help show the benefits of yoga and the calming effects that it can have on people.”

Ali, pictured right, added: “2020 was awful and had such an impact on people.

“Businesses and events were cancelled, and the knock-on effect are still being felt.

“However, local events like Beach Yoga Fest will help provide an opportunity for people to take part in something fun, healthy and unique.”

This year’s festival is opposite Happyland to the right of Bournemouth Pier and will be bigger than 2019.

It will feature two yoga class areas, a themed chillout area, a healthy food & drink options, seminar and class areas – all setup to take in the sea views.

The team have already confirmed sponsorship from Madding Crowd, Hearnes Estate Agents, Conker Gin, Shepherds Neame and Double Dutch.
