Hendy Land Rover Christchurch has joined special forces with Who Dares Gyms for the 2023 season of the beachfront gym.

Who Dares Gyms – the UK’s first and only gym on the beach – is back in Bournemouth for its third summer season.

It was founded by Leo Walker, pictured.

His military career was with Britain’s most elite units including 15 years within the Special Forces.

Others involved include Jason Carl Fox, known as Foxy and star of the Channel 4 Show SAS: Who Dares Wins, who is a Director.

This summer the award-winning gym – featured on Dorset Biz News in 2022 – is open seven days a week.

It offers a range of classes running every day from bootcamps for all abilities through to special forces bootcamps, team building events and beach yoga and meditation.

The focus is on creating a positive community environment and helping people of all abilities achieve their mental and physical fitness goals.

Andy Grant, Hendy Group’s Head of Brand Performance for Jaguar Land Rover, pictured left, said Land Rover Christchurch and Who Dares Gyms were a perfect fit in terms of brand values and association with the military.

He said: “As part of our support we had the Defender 130 on hand to help with the setup of the gym ahead of the opening weekend and we will have a range of vehicles on display at key events throughout the summer.

“We are looking forward to showcasing a selection of Range Rover, Defender and Discovery vehicles at the Strongman Games at the end of July and the Team Games in September and I know a number of our colleagues plan on using the gym facilities.”

Hendy Group is also offering the opportunity to win one of four gold membership packages to Who Dares Gyms on its Hendy Land Rover Christchurch Facebook page this summer.

Leo, of Who Dares Gyms, said: “It’s always great to work with local partners who share our vision and values so to have Hendy Land Rover Christchurch on board reinforces our message of strength and endurance.

“We’re looking forward to a great season together and hope to see some of the colleagues from Hendy training with us this summer.”
