Forest Holme Hospice Charity, based in Poole, has launched a new 21-part podcast.
The podcast is aiming to provide valuable insights, advice and resources for those living with a life-limiting illness or experiencing the complex journey of grief.
Hosted by Forest Holme Hospice Charity’s CEO, Hannah O’ Hare, ‘Life & Loss’ brings together individuals of different ages and backgrounds with unique first-hand experiences, alongside healthcare professionals, to share their stories, knowledge, information and strategies for coping with the many challenges associated with life-limiting illnesses and grief.
Speaking on the launch of the podcast, Hannah said: “I’ve interviewed some incredible people who have shared their personal experiences of life limiting illness, death and grief. It’s been emotional, eye opening, heartwarming and everything in between.

Life & Loss will release episodes on a weekly basis, with the first featuring a discussion with Dr Amy Pharaoh on ‘What Does Dying Look Like?’ and Mark Hayward’s personal account of ‘Living With a Brain Tumour’.
Future episodes are expected to features topics such as ‘The Importance of End of Life Care Planning’, ‘Finding Purpose Through Loss’ and ‘Mindfulness as a Tool for Grieving’. As well as Martin Edwards, CEO at Julia’s House, discussing the emotive topic of ‘Grieving with the Loss of a Child’.
The podcasts will be available on Forest Holme Hospice Charity’s YouTube channel and website and will also be shared across all its social media platforms.
