Cas Paton, Founder and CEO of the fast-growing online marketplace OnBuy.com, has been named Entrepreneur of the Year.

He received the accolade at the annual South West Business Leader Awards 2021.

Cas was chosen for the prestigious title from more than 300 entrants.

The awards event, hosted by comedian Tom Allen, celebrated businesses and entrepreneurs from across the south west.

The in-person event recognised the achievements and successes from the past year.

Cas was unable to attend the black-tie awards ceremony in Bristol.

Instead his award was collected by Alex Huntley, OnBuy’s Strategic Seller Manager, pictured left.

Cas said: “It was a huge honour to be shortlisted for this award, let alone winning it.

“I know the talent pool was particularly strong this year, with many other entrepreneurs who have had to learn to adapt to the new world we live in and challenges we’ve faced.

“It has been an incredible journey to date.

“I’m proud to take home this award which will be shared with my whole team at OnBuy, without whom I would not be collecting this accolade.

“The OnBuy story has really only just started, so the future is looking very exciting.”

Cas founded Poole-based OnBuy.com in 2016.
