Hundreds of new recruits are being sought by the UK’s largest holiday park operator which has three sites in Dorset.

Prompted by strong bookings for 2024, Parkdean Resorts is planning to recruit 6,000 people for its 66 parks across the country, including 750 jobs in Devon and Dorset

It follows a £700,000 investment to enhance accommodation and introduce new facilities at its Dorset locations in Warmwell, near Weymouth, Sandford, near Wareham, and West Bay.

Parkdean Resorts employs almost 600 people in peak season in Dorset.

Its three sites welcomed more than 185,000 holidaymakers last year, marking one of the company’s busiest years on record.

With 250 different careers across its business, Parkdean Resorts is hiring for a wide range of roles in different departments.

Job opportunities include cleaners, bar & waiting team members, maintenance assistants, lifeguards, security officers, chefs and kitchen assistants.

More information on the roles available can be found here.

The recruitment drive comes as the company announced an investment of more than £34m in its parks for 2024, including refurbishing more than 1,500 holiday homes, adding new caravans and introducing new food and beverage units.

Almost 70 caravans are being refurbished in Dorset and five new caravans have been added to parks in the region to improve accommodation options for holidaymakers.

Guests at Sandford Holiday Park will also be able to take advantage of a brand-new Thunderbird Fried Chicken restaurant at the park.

Steve Richards, CEO, Parkdean Resorts, said: “We’re always looking to invest in the guest experience at our parks.

“59 per cent of our customers rebook with us, and continuing to enhance our parks will help bring people back to Dorset year after year.

“We create rewarding jobs in the community which can turn into life-long careers in hospitality, and our staff engagement score of 83 per cent, which is well above the sector average, shows our teams are happy.

“2024 promises to be another busy year, so there’s no better time to join our brilliant team who do so much to help our guests make lasting memories with their families.”

Parkdean Resorts employs more than 8,000 people across the UK and last year welcomed more than 3 million holidaymakers to its 66 parks in some of the UK’s finest beauty spots.
