A full-service advertising agency is up for two prestigious industry awards.

Christchurch-based CHS has been shortlisted in the Sector Masters retail and ecommerce category of the Marketing Week Masters awards.

It is also nominated in the Special Masters Agency of the Year category.

The Sector Masters nomination is for CHS’s strategic and creative work with Lakeland, launching the brand’s first-ever loyalty scheme, myLakeland.

The agency, which employs more than 50 people, is up against work by other agencies or in-house for Boots, Dixon Carphone, Greggs, and Kraft Heinz.

The Special Masters Agency of the Year nomination is for agencies demonstrating how they assist their clients to achieve their strategic objectives while also helping to deliver financial value.

The agencies must showcase true partnership and collaboration, as well as examples of creative and innovative thinking.

Other nominees with CHS in the category are BBH, ForwardPMX, Go Inspire Group and Karmarama, part of Accenture Interactive.

They are some of the biggest agencies in the industry.

Steve Keats, CHS Managing Director, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be nominated for these awards.

“It further reinforces our excellent reputation within the industry for delivering quality services to our clients.

“Traditional adspend from the top ten spending brands in the UK plummeted by more than £1.1bn year on year, or 48 per cent, during the height of the coronavirus crisis.

“This has been a really tough year for a lot of businesses, but CHS is proud to be forging forward with new campaigns for clients, continued recruitment drives and significant plans for the future.

“We will continue to develop new strategies that will help our clients get closer to their customers.

“Through tried, tested and trusted combinations of collaborative, results-driven problem-solving, connected thinking and multi-channel customer engagement, we will carry on moving our clients and their businesses into the future,” he added.

Russell Parsons, Marketing Week’s Editor-in-Chief, said: “Given the huge challenge everyone in the marketing industry faces, it’s really important to celebrate what excellence looks like.

“This shortlist is testament to the creativity, innovation and effectiveness of the UK marketing industry.

“Huge congratulations to everyone shortlisted.”

The shortlist was decided by a jury of senior marketers from some of the UK’s biggest businesses.

The winners will be announced next month as part of an online showcase of the results.

  • CHS has taken on four new staff. They are Jessica Wicks, Marketing Manager & Content Producer; Sophia Wareham, Senior Creative; Hannah Kent, Junior Creative and Kirsty Haville, Stylist.
