LOL – Laugh Out Loud – has taken on a whole new meaning with the launch of Coastal Comedy Alfresco.
Coastal Comedy, the independent business run by Adrienne Coles, herself a comic, is adapting to the pandemic with a programme of outdoor shows.
Each Coastal Comedy show has a line-up of two or three professional comedians including a TV headliner as seen on programmes such as Mock the week (BBC2), 8 Out of 10 Cats (Channel 4) or Live at the Apollo (BBC1).
The Bournemouth outdoor shows will be at the Bournemouth Electric club.

The first features Nathan Caton, pictured.
There will be plenty of room – in fact two full football pitches.
Seating is provided under an event sleeve which is open on all sides.
An outside stage will be installed together with a pizza oven, outdoor bar and food van with the option to carry on at the club after the show.
Adrienne, CEO of Coastal Comedy, doesn’t just book the acts but also promotes and hosts every show.
She said: “After the success of a sold out outdoor show last year at the Lighthouse I decided it was the way to go.
“I’m very excited, but it doesn’t take much!
“We hope for good weather but everyone needs to dress in appropriate British Summer Time attire just in case.
“The laughter will keep us warm and everyone’s gagging for live entertainment and a chance to get out.”
The headliners for the alfresco shows at Bournemouth Electric Club are:
May 22 – Nathan Caton
June 5 – Paul McCaffrey
July 3 – Mark Simmons
July 24 – Andy Askins
Advance tickets are £12.50 and £15 on the door.

Doors open 18:00 and the show starts at 19:15.
Coastal Comedy Alfresco shows will also be in the Ampitheatre at the Lighthouse in Poole on Saturday June 12 and July 10.
