Lewis-Manning Hospice Care in Poole has joined a nationwide initiative uniting 143 hospices across England, Scotland and Wales.

Lewis-Manning logoLaunched by Hospice UK, the ‘This is Hospice Care’ movement aims to encourage people to consider leaving a gift in their will in support of their local hospice.

The campaign launched yesterday (Monday) and has immediately captured hearts and minds through a TV advert based on real life hospice stories.

Hospices like Lewis-Manning provide compassionate, expert care and support to patients with life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones.

Clare GallieClare Gallie, CEO of Lewis-Manning, said: “We’re thrilled to be part of this important campaign giving us the opportunity to work in partnership and collaboration with many other hospices.

“As a group of hospices, we’ve come together to shine a light on the essential role hospices play in our communities and protect our futures.

“Last year, we supported over 1200 patients and their families.

“One in four of these were cared for with thanks to kind gifts in wills.

“Legacy gifts are essential in securing the future of Your Hospice in Your Community, helping us continue to provide comfort, dignity and expert support for generations to come.

“Together, we can help hospice care live on for all, for now, forever.”
