A human resources and training professional with a passion for digital transformation has launched her own venture.

HR Digital Academy is the idea of Lorraine Hunt, a full-time HR Business Partner with BCHA, the not for profit housing association.

Lorraine, 53, said that her 30 years’ experience had always identified the same challenges, regardless of the type of organisation she had worked in

She said: “HR teams get bogged down with repetitive paperwork and rarely have the time to focus on what really matters – people.

“My mission is to teach HR and training professionals how to automate their processes by offering online courses and in person workshops.

“I will also provide a ‘done for you’ consultancy service to other HR teams.

“Human Resources think automation and digital transformation is too costly, too technical or they simply don’t have the time.

“I want to change that perception.

“The initial focus will be on automation, using Microsoft products, and ultimately branch out into a digital certificate membership programme.

“This will offer HR digital strategy, automation mindset, digital transformation, HR analytics, gamification, chatbots, voice apps and cover all the latest technology.”

Lorraine, who lives in Bournemouth, said the HR Digital Academy was an opportunity to combine her extensive HR knowledge with “the tech geek inside that is itching to unleash itself.”

She added: “Over the years I have experimented, tweaked, made many mistakes but ultimately can now teach in detail what works.

“I coach HR managers, HR business partners, human resource advisors, HR administrators and other human resource professionals in real actionable steps so they can start their digital transformation immediately.

“I’m on a mission.

“I want them to embrace automation so that it frees them up to do what they’re best at and what really matters.

“That’s having conversations, talking to people and being proactive rather than reactive.”
