“An incredible moment when your dream becomes a reality and all your hard work comes to fruition.”
The words of Louise Jones after the successful launch of her new cookbook.
Gut Health – Nourish to Flourish aims to get everyone healthier by improving gut health through tasty, nutritious recipes that are full of flavour and which gut microbes will love.
Louise, Owner of Food for Thought Cookery School in Poole, said: “We are hearing more and more about gut health in the news and how important it is to start thinking about what we eat, how it feeds our microbes and, in turn, how it makes us feel.
“Nourish to Flourish is a cookbook containing a beautiful collection of predominantly plant-based, quick to make, gut friendly, scrummy recipes to make at home without having to shop in five different shops for the ingredients.
“Through flavoursome dishes, both sweet and savoury, containing an abundance of goodness and ideas, I aim to empower, educate and inspire to take the first steps to improving gut microbes.
“It encompasses everything I have learnt about gut health, all the nourishing foods that I love to make and share, with a big sprinkle of my passion and enthusiasm for helping you lead your healthiest, happiest life.
“The easy to follow recipes have been created to use again and again, including weeknight meals, easy salads, delicious guilt free puddings and tasty treats.
“There are over 85 gut-loving, delicious recipes, along with top tips and ways to ‘pimp my dish’ so the whole family can enjoy the same meal.
“The recipes are suitable for vegetarians and gluten free diets with dairy free and vegan options to each recipe and refined sugar free.
“There is something for everyone!
“They are mainly plant-based recipes with options to add fish, meat, cheese etc.”
A launch party at Club Hub in Poole saw nearly 50 people enjoy samples from the cookbook.
They included decadent chocolate truffles and turmeric trail mix as well as Louise’s pure dark salted chocolates, taught in her healthy chocolate making classes.
Guests at the launch included Louise’s proud parents, Alun and Liz Jones.
Alun said: “This book has been a labour of love for Louise.
“The fact that Louise and her fiancé Ian have written all the recipes, taken the food photography, graphic designed the book and self-published it, we couldn’t be prouder of the immense amount of work that has gone into making it.
“I am sure it will help a lot of people through her delicious recipes, useful information and beautiful pictures.”
Louise said: “The launch party couldn’t have gone any better.
“It was such an incredible moment, when your dream becomes a reality and all your hard work comes to fruition.
“My aim is to help as many people as possible improve their gut health through this book.
“It would make a great Christmas present.”
Normally costing £19.99 it is currently available for £16.99 as an introductory offer.
