National renewable energy wholesaler plans open day to celebrate Bournemouth expansion

A national renewable energy wholesaler has opened a new branch in Bournemouth.

HDM Solar started trading in the town in April 2024. Starting out with a team of six, the branch is planning to expand its staff in the coming weeks.

The branch, based on the Ferndown Industrial Estate, is holding an official launch and open day event on Friday 10th May, from 10am to 2pm, which is open to solar system and EV installers, as well as businesses or individuals looking for more information on renewable energy systems.

Tayah Betambeau, Manager of the Bournemouth branch of HDM Solar, with over 13 years of wholesale renewable energy experience under her belt, said: “Before opening our branch here, HDM Solar already had a significant number of customers in the Bournemouth area, so it is great to support them with our new branch on the Ferndown Industrial Estate.

“HDM Solar Founder, Daniel Rogers, is also originally from Bournemouth, so there is quite a Bournemouth connection!”

HDM Solar supplies renewable energy solar systems and electric vehicle (EV) chargers to trade customers, businesses and individuals.

The company is also introducing domestic energy-efficient heat pumps, which are a more environmentally friendly alternative to the gas boilers which are being phased out in new build homes from 2025.

HDM Solar  is investing £10.2m in rolling out a nationwide network of branches, including sixty branches across the country and is targeting five new sites to be operational by the end of 2024, of which one is the Bournemouth branch.

The investment will generate new jobs both locally and nationally and provide local support to installers, businesses and consumers.

Tayah added: “At our Bournemouth branch, we provide our customers with great value products, free in-person and online technical advice, same-day or next-day delivery, collection points at our Ferndown warehouse, and funding schemes, all backed up by our excellent customer service levels.”
