A new Director of Fundraising has been appointed at Lewis-Manning Hospice Care in Poole.

Tom Goodinge has joined the hospice after a career which included eight years in a pressurised environment leading a commercial team with a multinational telecoms partner.

Most recently he served four years in a similar charity role.

Tom’s initial introduction to Lewis-Manning Hospice Care was as a visitor, invited to share best practice and expertise during a support day based upon his work for a large Somerset based hospice.

He said: “The charity sector needs to operate commercially in what is a very challenging environment for every business.

“I spent more than four years at a large two-site hospice where I developed a strong understanding of the sector and how to develop income from multiple funding streams.”

Kas Luksa has also joined the Lewis-Manning Hospice Care team as its new Executive Assistant and Office Manager.

She comes with a strong management and business background, opening up her own recruitment office in Salisbury, before moving to Julia’s House, the Dorset and Wiltshire children’s hospices, as Executive Assistant  to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Care and to the Board of Trustees.

Kas said “After a short career break, I am very excited to be joining Lewis-Manning Hospice Care, especially at such an important time in the service expansion, new direction, team growth and development as well as office move.”
