A Dorset charity has welcomed two new starters to its ranks.

Vicki Gray has joined Lewis-Manning Hospice Care as Corporate Fundraiser while Ruth Wright is appointed as Community Fundraiser.

Vicki established her career within the graphics and marketing departments of large organisations, before embarking on a round-the-world adventure, which resulted in living and working overseas for several years.

Returning to the UK, she set up a family wedding stationery business, before establishing her own image consultancy business which she ran for 18 years.

Ruth has worked in the charity sector for more than seven years.

Most recently she’s been the Area Fundraising Manager for the Jon Egging Trust, looking after Dorset, Hampshire and Oxfordshire through a variety of community fundraising activities and events.

Ruth engaged with small businesses and corporates to encourage support for the youth programmes delivered to school children aged 13 to 16.

Tom Goodinge, Director of Fundraising, said: “I’m thrilled to have Ruth and Vicki join Lewis-Manning Hospice Care’s fundraising team.

“Their experience, local knowledge and proactive personalities will ensure our fundraising for the charity goes from strength to strength.”

Lewis-Manning Hospice Care is a charity helping people with life-limiting illnesses and their families across Poole, Purbeck, East Dorset.

Its free hospice care services include a day hospice, creative arts & wellbeing support, lymphoedema clinic and a better breathing clinic.
