Parley-based recycling and renewables company Eco Sustainable Solutions has secured ISO 45001 certification, demonstrating its commitment to a positive safety culture.
The international standard for occupational health and safety is used and recognised across the world.
It provides a framework for identifying and assessing occupational health and safety risks.
By implementing the standard, organisations can enhance their safety performance and reduce the likelihood of accidents, injuries and occupational illnesses.
Jamie Williams, HSQE (health, safety, quality and environment) manager at Eco, said: “This is the result of a lot of hard work.
“It’s really important to Eco as the safety and health of our team is our number one priority.
“A happy team with a positive safety culture is key to a successful business.”
Eco has also had its certifications to international standards ISO 9001 for quality management systems (QMS) and ISO 14001 for environmental management systems (EMS) renewed.
Founded in 1995, the business has an annual turnover of £17 million and employs 49 people across sites in Parley, Piddlehinton and Weymouth.
It’s now recycled over four million tonnes of waste since opening its gates.
