A new boutique indoor and garden yoga studio celebrated its launch with a party.
Founded by yoga instructor, Lillie Hussain, Healing Haven Yoga Studio in Parkstone, Poole, offers inclusive and varied classes suitable for all ages and abilities.
They’re taught by Lillie, 26, along with fellow teachers.
She said: “It’s fantastic to finally create a space that feels welcoming to all levels of yoga, where the most important thing is that people show up for themselves.
“Three years on from when I qualified as a yoga teacher in India, I now serve a community of over 100 amazing human beings to encourage the simple self-care practices that completely changed my life.”
Healing Haven hosts a variety of classes with the aim of being as inclusive as possible to all ages and abilities.
It offers men’s classes, meditation, body positive Barre, slow pillow flow and chair yoga.
Classes are taught by Lillie along with her team of handpicked teachers including Scott Parsons, Amy Morgan, Sonja Lockyr, Lorna Finlay, Stevie McCormick and more.
All are experienced and passionate about providing yoga classes for the community.
The new studio also specialises in wellness products for visitors, including sage sticks, crystals, body oil, pulse point essential oils and much more to help with self-care practice.
Lillie, pictured left, said: “‘Yoga completely transformed my life during a very difficult period and my aim has always been to empower others to embrace yoga as a healing practice.
“Our focus is absolutely on welcoming everyone through our doors as yoga can be scary for first timers and we want to help people overcome that fear barrier.
“The very first yoga class I attended, I felt very out of place, and I want our visitors to have a positive and welcoming experience with us.
“That is why we have tailored classes to suit different abilities and we focus on the meditative and healing aspects of yoga.
‘My intention for the Healing Haven is for the space to feel like a community, a space which facilitates self-love, happiness and acceptance.
“I truly believe that the mindful practices we share here allow people to connect with their inner world amidst the chaos of the outside world.
“This calm interval in our daily life is essential for our happiness and overall wellbeing.”
Inclusive classes lined up for the coming months including chair yoga, as well as ethical yoga wear being added to the range of products available in the shop.
Healing Haven also plans to open a healing hut for therapeutic massage treatments.
Healing Haven Yoga Studio is located at 119 Bournemouth Road, Poole, BH14 9HR.
