A new digital agency dedicated to making a positive impact on the planet has launched in Dorset with a pledge to plant trees for every project undertaken.

ETHICLY has been founded by Nikki Webb who has more than 20 years’ digital experience including working for, and with, major retail, telecoms and technical brands.

It was launched in the same week that the world celebrated the 50th anniversary of Earth Day.

For the last five years Nikki, 42, has run her own digital consultancy, Digital Rocks Ltd.

However, work for clients such as 3 Sided Cube, &Keep and ACV UK has led to Nikki gravitating more towards projects where the client’s values resonated with her own.

Nikki said: “No longer can we continue to damage and pollute this world.

“Society will not survive if we remain solely driven by profit – nor will the planet.

“We have been given the chance, and the foresight, to change how we do things.

“This may seem like a strange time to launch a business, but I can’t think of a better moment to start ETHICLY.

“As we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of World Earth Day and see the positive impact of lower emissions on our planet, as well as the kindness and generosity of the human spirit around the globe; I feel even more passionate about using my digital skills and experience for good.

“I want to connect people, drive awareness and change and bring results to brands who are fighting to make a difference.

“We work with like-minded brands who are changing the status quo, businesses who care about how they create things, who source materials sustainably and offset carbon as they go.

“These are brands that place people and the planet ahead of profits, and who endeavour to make a difference in everything that they do.”

Nikki lives in Boscombe and is married with a seven-year-old son, Archie.

Her husband, Paul Webb, is owner of website build and design consultancy Webtroopers.

Nikki said: “We have a clear mission – to ‘Make A Difference with Digital.’

“As the world survives lockdown, the coronavirus crisis calls on us all to draw on our innate values of supporting local communities, human kindness and global health.

“ETHICLY will specialise in delivering expert guidance and change to brands, who embody these values: human-centric, earth-conscious, ethical sourcing, carbon neutrality and in general striving to ‘do good’ in what they do.”

ETHICLY is working with a tight network of six specialists to provide a full spectrum of digital services.

They are: Caron Khan, RedHat, Smiling Cow, Spring Social, Transcend and Webtroopers.

Services offered ranged from Nikki’s strategic direction and brand development skills to website build, copy and content, social strategies and execution as well as marketing across the breadth of the digital world.

Nikki said: “We are excited to be working with CTX Global towards carbon neutral status, and we pledge to plant trees for every project undertaken.

“We will live the values that we and our clients hold dear.

“Despite everything going on I think this is a good time to launch.

“According to Google Trends, over the past 90 days search interest in ‘How to live a sustainable lifestyle’ has increased by more than 4,550 per cent.

“At ETHICLY we are conscious, fearless and authentic in our approach, with lots of heart and soul thrown in for good measure!”
