A multi-media agency says it hopes to inspire and empower the next generation of women in sports with a new sponsorship deal.

Bournemouth-based Top Cat Media has been confirmed as the latest sponsor for Winchester City Flyers FC, the largest female-only football club in Hampshire.

The deal is for the 2023/24 season.

Ross Taylor, pictured, Top Cat’s Founder and Managing Director, said: “Woman’s football has seen some incredible growth over recent years, something highlighted more so only last year when England’s Lionesses won our first major football competition since 1966.

“In supporting the Winchester City Flyers, we aim to inspire and empower the next generation of women in sports.

“By sponsoring their journey, we champion equality, inclusivity and the limitless potential of every athlete.”

The new partnership is expected to be vital to help ‘The Flyers’ achieve their goals and ambitions of continued growth as they strive to develop and climb the women’s football pyramid over the
next four to five years.

With over 500 registered players across 28 teams, including Flyers Wildcats, the club has seen a huge increase in popularity since 2019 across all ages.

Club Chairman Tony Panteli, pictured left, who has been heavily involved with Winchester City Flyers FC for more than 16 years, said: “As a club, we are super excited to have Top Cat Media on board as a new sponsor for us.

“The team there have been excellent and incredibly supportive.

“We are really looking forward to working with them going forward.”

Charlotte Warhurst, First Team Captain, added: “We are really excited about this partnership and the opportunity to continue to grow women’s football after such an exciting year for the women’s game.”

Top Cat Media – recently voted as one of the South’s best agencies via the Digital Agency Network – has been helping local independent businesses to expand and reach their full potential for nearly nine years.

It supports its extensive client base by producing distinctive, effective marketing communications through design, copywriting, videography and photography.
