Big names have joined forces with Lewis-Manning Hospice Care for this year’s Big Give Christmas Challenge Appeal.
TV presenter Fearne Cotton, actress Emilia Fox, Hospice Patrons Harry and Sandra Redknapp and former AFC Bournemouth Chairman Jeff Mostyn have all produced video messages.
They encourage the public to come on board and pledge their support for the challenge, doubling their donation and raising vital funds for the Lewis-Manning Family Support & Bereavement Service.
Big Give runs match funding campaigns for charities and special causes at key moments across the year.
The Big Give Christmas Challenge is staged from November 28 to December 5 and has the strapline ‘one donation, twice the impact’ as all donations are match funded.
For seven days it will offer supporters of participating charities, including Lewis-Manning Hospice Care, the opportunity to double their donations.
The match funding for the campaign is being provided by a number of philanthropic champions.
Lewis-Manning Hospice Care is taking part to raise funds to help local people who are struggling to come to terms with a life-limiting diagnosis or cope with a bereavement.
Tom Goodinge, Director of Fundraising, said: “We are hugely grateful to Harry, Sandra, Jeff, Emilia and Fearne, offering their time to produce these videos and support this fundraising initiative.
“All funds raised will support our Family Support and Bereavement Service.
“This festive season please donate before December 5.
“Your donation will be automatically doubled, a wonderful opportunity for the hospice!”
More than 1,000 charities are taking part in this year’s Big Give Christmas Challenge.
