Have you been made redundant during – or as a result of – the pandemic?

Are you having to find a job for the first time in a long time and feeling rusty?

Does the thought of navigating your way to a new role terrify you?

The first of two online courses taking participants through the practical considerations of finding a job in this challenging market are held on Tuesday November 17 so don’t delay if you want to sign up.

Dorset businesswomen Shirley Hensher, a business coach known as The Change Agent, and Amanda Reuben, owner of Bijou Recruitment, have designed an easy to access, step-by-step approach aimed at maximising your chances of success and minimising frustration.

Topics covered in detail include:

  • Building relationships with recruiters
  • Do’s and don’ts of writing a C.V. and covering letter
  • How to create a personal brand
  • Interview tips in the virtual world

The group is deliberately being kept small – a maximum of ten – to give time to discuss concerns and provide a suppoprtive atmosphere.

The second part of the course is on Tuesday November 24.

Both course dates are each three hours in duration and start at 0945.

Amanda said: “Job hunting can be seen as mystifying at the best of times but in this current economic climate, it’s especially challenging.

“Our course aims to break down each step to finding your next job and to debunk many of the myths surrounding the process.”

Shirley, who met Amanda through networking, added: “Many jobseekers need to be better prepared before they actually start to apply for a new role.

“We are giving them all the necessary tools to maximise their chances of success in this current highly competitive market.”
