A low-cost, low-risk package has been launched by one of the UK’s fastest growing travel franchise companies.

Bournemouth-based The Travel Franchise says Travel Consultant Lite gives everything a person needs to set themselves up as a homeworking personal travel consultant.

It is aimed at people who want to build a new career or side-hustle around busy commitments such as a job or family life or who would otherwise be deterred by traditional entry costs.

With an upfront investment of £2,495 plus VAT, the package enables new franchisees to train as certified personal travel consultants and start earning unlimited income.

With initial training now delivered via online classes, a revised monthly management fee and much-reduced franchise fee, the key obstacles people face when buying a franchise have been removed.

No travel experience is required as full training is given.

The Travel Consultant Lite includes:

  • A personal marketing website.
  • Fast-track training.
  • Booking commission.
  • All necessary tools and technology.

The monthly membership then covers ongoing support such as a personal travel coach, continuous training, marketing materials and daily support through the head office and closed Facebook groups.

Paul Harrison, who co-founded The Travel Franchise with Steve Witt, said: “The Travel Consultant Lite package has everything you need to get started as a travel agent.

“It means you can run a business around your other commitments, or simply try something new.

“This is a low-risk, low-cost entry level package which makes a new career or side-hustle immediately possible – as well as opening up access to millions of holidays around the globe.

“Times of adversity change people’s mindset.

“The world of work has changed dramatically, with many people reflecting on their lives and recognising this as an opportunity to work from home while following a passion in travel and earning considerable money for themselves rather than for an organisation.

“With the reduced up-front investment comes freedom and accessibility; Travel Consultant Lite members can benefit from all the rewards of being a travel consultant right now.”

More than 750 people have already set up their own travel business, selling packages under the Not Just Travel umbrella.

According to The Travel Franchise, travel consultants can often earn thousands of pounds in commission each month.

The business says its members have been busy, even during lockdown, booking holidays ranging from UK breaks to far-flung luxury destinations.
