A business formed on a kayaking and fishing trip in Poole Bay has celebrated its first anniversary with 20 clients now signed up for its services.
Poole-based All Axis Studio was initially founded by Marc Adamson, later joined by Tim Flynn and then Dawid Planeta, Chief Technology Officer.

The three have diverse backgrounds, including programming, film making and customer relation.
All Axis provides 3D photos for products online.
Marc, who dabbled with 360 photography between freelance jobs over a number of years, said: “I realised the potential of enabling customers to interact with products and rotate them in 3D space.
“But there were also some substantial limitations.
“So I set out to build a system that could eliminate the shortcomings.
“I was eventually joined by Tim, my long-term friend from high school, and then Dawid, our CTO extraordinaire.
“The company was officially named last year.
“We didn’t form like many businesses do in a meeting room or even a pub but a kayaking and fishing trip in Poole Bay.”
Tim said All Axis’ use of photography gave a perfect depiction of the texture and detail of a product.
He said: “Currently, existing solutions consist of either mesh-based 3D renderings or 360 photo spins restricted to one or a few axes.
“While both have their use, they always fall short in one or more of these crucial areas:
“And so, we created an instantly interactive solution.
“It enables a user to view products from any angle, and provides a completely faithful representation of detail, texture, and form.
“This is achieved by a combination of photographic image capture and automated post-processing.
“The result is displayed online with our cloud-based All Axis viewer.
“Our customers find that All Axis 3D photos significantly increase user engagement and conversion rates as well as reduce returns.
“For us, it’s just the beginning.
“We are in the process of integrating some genuinely groundbreaking new technology to our process that we are certain will elevate the results.”
Tim, who worked at LV= for more than five years, latterly as Customer Service Manager, said All Axis had achieved a lot in the last year.
He said: “We’ve gone from a basic working prototype to a perfectly smooth image and instantly loading 3D photo, which is now used on several eCommerce platforms.
“We now have 20 clients signed up wanting to use the technology.

“These vary from UK-based ethical footwear brand Po-Zu, Swiss-based Wool sneakers produced by Baabuk, pictured left, and Australian brand Bont cycling.
“The results so far have exceeded our expectations.
“While testing the All Axis spin with their flagship product, Baabuk experienced an increased time spent on the page of one minute, almost double that of their usual figures.
“The impact on conversion rates has also been remarkable, with increases of up to 78 per cent.
“What we have achieved so far is just the beginning.
“We are in the process of integrating some genuinely groundbreaking new technology called Neural Radiance Fields to interpolate frames.
“In doing so, we’ll create a completely smooth 3D photo.
“As well as this, we’ll be expanding into different industries to offer our 3D photography.
“But we also believe our technology will have applications for NFT’s helping create a digital asset of physical objects.
“We would like to become the new standard in online product display and in the process make shopping more efficient, and of course, have fun doing it!”
