Alex Ostler, CMO at Poole's savvy navvy

savvy navvy, the Dorset-based marine tech company, has appointed Alex Ostler as its new Chief Marketing Officer.
Alex is based in Colorado in the USA, and has worked in marketing for more than two decades, starting her career with Google Maps and going on to develop a reputation for scaling growth in tech startups.
As well as her appointment, savvy navvy has expanded its engineering team, appointing two new developers based in Germany and Poland with the aim of enhancing its features in response to user feedback.
“As we enter the next phase of our business, it’s the right time to build our executive team starting with the Chief Marketing Officer role with the main focus of further accelerating our growth,” said Jelte Liebrand, CEO and Founder of savvy navvy from Poole.

savvy navvy, which has surpassed 1,000,000 downloads across the globe, operates an on-water navigation app, which includes a routing algorithm that uses wind, weather, tides, and boat settings to route users to their destination in the fastest, safest route available.
The leading boating navigation app – often referred to as ‘Google Maps for boats’ – rolled out its new and improved version two earlier this boating season with new and enhanced features such as navigation mode, anchor alarm upgrade, clouds and rain overlay and wind gust features.
