Poole's Grapevine supports local hospice with new branded mobile service

Poole-based IT service provider Grapevine has announced the launch of its own branded mobile offering, powered by leading 5G network 3.

As part of this new venture, Grapevine is supporting Julia’s House, a children’s hospice charity in Dorset and Wiltshire, by donating five per cent of monthly line rentals to the organisation.

Grapevine, which began as a mobile contract reseller in 1991, has seen significant growth in recent years.

Expanding its services to include fixed line, IT, and connectivity solutions, the company now operates with a team of 23 employees.

Despite its size, Grapevine is one of the smallest businesses in the UK to establish a branded mobile virtual network operator (MVNO).

This milestone was made possible through a long-standing relationship with unified communications provider Gamma, which recently awarded Grapevine the Gamma Gold Partner status in 2023, following the 2021 accreditation as a Gamma Technical Alliance Partner.

James Spinks, Managing Director of Grapevine, expressed his pride in the company’s ongoing relationship with Julia’s House: “We are continually impressed by the phenomenal effort and care shown in the work of Julia’s House.

“In addition to the support they provide to the most seriously ill local children and their families, they are also recognised as an exceptional employer.

“We feel a strong affinity with the value the organisation places on its people. It has been an honour to work with them for many years on the provision of mobile services, and we are pleased to build on that with this new partnership.”

Caroline Attreed, corporate fundraiser at Julia’s House, shared her appreciation: “We are so grateful for the continued support of the team at Grapevine.

“They have been a great partner to the charity and all the children and families we support for a number of years. This new initiative is a really generous gesture and will help us to continue to provide our life-changing care, now and in the future.”
