Pledge your Preloved to us!

Did you know?
Charity shops provide a sustainable and ethical option when you wish to dispose of unwanted clothes, books, furniture and other household items.
We are asking our supporters to Pledge their Preloved!
Let’s combat the boredom at home, get the kids involved and make it a fun task to have a sort out in readiness to donate your good quality, preloved items to your nearest Lewis-Manning Hospice Care charity shop when we are open and it is safe to do so.
For more information about our charity shops please visit our website here.
Please share with friends, family and colleagues and get them to Pledge their Preloved too!

Jurassic Coast Trek
In 2021 we are delighted to have launched various challenge events, one of which is the Jurassic Coast Trek.
We would love to have your support in joining, and taking part, in this stunning coastal walk.
Participants can book their place for September’s trek.
This is a fantastic experience and a great opportunity for companies to develop team building or friends and families to enjoy a wonderful adventure together, whilst raising vital funds to support your local charity hospice.

Make a Will Online
Join the many thousands of people who remember a charity in their will each year.
This is your opportunity to leave a legacy to a charity that is making an impact in the local community.
Every supporter will is checked by a fully qualified solicitor and you can use their helplines at no extra cost.
Of course, we understand that family comes first, however with your kind support we promise to do everything in our power to provide quality care for the people of East Dorset that are living with life-limiting illnesses.
You can help make this a reality.

We’re proud of our dedicated and committed team, especially seeing how everyone has dealt with the challenges and adversities that Covid-19 has presented to the charity during 2020/21.

This month we wanted to find out more about our Director of Finance and Operations, Alison Dean.
What’s the best thing about your job?
Working with a great team
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever been given?
Never upset anyone – you never know when you are going to meet them again!
Tell us something about yourself that we wouldn’t know
I’ve sung at the Royal Albert Hall with the Bournemouth Symphony Chorus. I sang with the BSO from when I was 18 until I worked in London at the age of 31. I used to do a few turns at local pubs too!
Describe yourself in three words
Kind, understanding, organised
If you were going to rule the world for the day, what law would you introduce?
Everybody to have a roof over their heads
Your best place for a holiday is?
Ibiza, it’s my spiritual home. I love the diversity of the place and the magnetism of Es Vedrà just pulls you back again and again. In a small space it’s everything you could want, Fabulous scenery, amazing restaurants, friendly people, great night life, live music, yoga, meditation, cocktails and champagne. What else could you want? Anything goes…
