Green House Hotel logoThis Thursday, the award-winning Arbor Restaurant at Bournemouth’s Green House Hotel will welcome Stan Park as guest speaker at their Italian Wine Tasting Supper.

A passionate and highly qualified wine educator, Stan will guide guests through the tasting of eight artisanal Italian wines, accompanied by the chef’s selection of cicchetti to complement each style.

Stan holding wine glass“There are classic wines here, but also some new wave”, said Stan.

“All are from highly regarded producers who are proud of their heritage and who represent their place in the wine world with real vigour.

“This is a fascinating way of tasting, as we’re not only looking at the wines themselves, but looking at the distance between them and the very reasons why they are different – and then seeing their dynamic change with food.”

Three pairs of wines will be served up throughout the evening.

The white pair are a Soave 2021 Tenuta Corte di Giocobbe and a Vermentino Chardonnay 2021 Tenuta Montecchiesi served with cicchetti – arancini, bocconcini, and aubergine parmigiana.

The pink pair are a Ramato Pinot Grigio delle Venezie 2021 Tenuta Corte di Giocobbe and a Miraly Rosato 2021 Tenuta Montecchiesi accompanied with fritto misto, aioli, and courgette fries.

The red pair are a Merlot Sangiovese and a Barbera d’Alba 2020 Tenuta Forte Masso paired with pork and fennel polpette and gnocchi served with a duck, olive and tomato ragu.

Neil Carter, General Manager at The Arbor, added: “This is about bringing people together.

“Whether you’re someone who loves and appreciates wine, or you simply want to learn more about wine and how to pair it, this event is for you.

“We can’t wait to welcome guests to this very special evening at The Arbor.”

The event will start at 7pm on Thursday 2nd November at The Green House Hotel. Places are £49 per person.
