Dorset law firm Ellis Jones has promoted rising star Clair Phillips to Associate Solicitor.

Clair joined the firm in 2014 and worked as a commercial property paralegal before becoming a trainee solicitor a year later, qualifying in 2017.

She specialises in construction litigation within the Dispute Resolution Team at Ellis Jones, which has offices in Bournemouth, Canford Cliffs (Poole), Christchurch, Swanage and Wimborne as well as Ringwood and London.

Clair’s promotion caps a memorable 12 months in which she won ‘Rising Star of the Year’ at the 2019 Dorset Legal Awards.

Nigel Smith, Managing Partner, said: “We pride ourselves on developing the best new talent and giving them the opportunity to progress at Ellis Jones.

“Clair is the perfect example of this, and is to be warmly congratulated on her well-deserved promotion to Associate Solicitor.”

Clair graduated with a first class honours degree in law before gaining a distinction in her postgraduate Legal Practice Course (LPC).

She is a member of the Bournemouth and District Junior Lawyers Division.
