Savvy Navvy, the Bournemouth firm developing ‘Google Maps for boats’, has partnered with another marine manufacturer – this time US-based boat builder Arc.
Following its tie-up with Portsmouth’s RAD Propulsion earlier this month, Savvy Navvy will also be integrating its navigation charts with Arc’s 100 per cent electric boats, including the high-performance Arc Sport.
It gives both leisure and serious sailors alike access to key information on depth, buoys and points of interest on the water.
“We’re excited to collaborate with world-renowned Arc, setting a new standard for navigation in electric boating,” said Jelte Liebrand, founder and CEO of Savvy Navvy.
“With Savvy Navvy charts, Arc users gain a seamless, data-rich navigation experience, combining intuitive design with essential navigation details – empowering safer, smarter and more sustainable journeys on the water.
“By offering intuitive charts and essential navigation solutions to OEMs, we enhance boating experiences across the globe, whether through multifunction displays, engines or other integrated systems.
“Our goal remains to create the best experience for boaters across the globe.”
Sam Attrill, product manager at Arc, added: “Navigation is an essential part of delivering the effortless boating experience our customers expect, and Savvy Navvy’s charts are a perfect fit.
“By incorporating their intuitive navigation solutions, we’re making every journey on an Arc boat safer, smarter and more enjoyable.”
Savvy Navvy was crowned Tech SME of the Year at last year’s South Coast Tech & Innovation Awards, hosted by The Business Magazine.
