Staff at the Bournemouth office of a national firm of chartered accountants are celebrating a significant client win.

Eco Sustainable Solutions has appointed Saffery Champness LLP to look after all aspects of its accounting and taxation affairs and help the business through its next growth phase.

The Parley-based company, which was founded in 1993, has an annual turnover of £12m and employs 41 people.

It annually processes 250,000 tonnes of material at its purpose-built site for organics recycling and renewable energy. End products include enriched topsoil, compost and woodchip.

Overall Eco currently handles 340,000 tonnes of organic material each year across three facilities.

Saffery Partner Jamie Lane said: “Saffery Champness is a firm of choice for family owned businesses with high growth ambitions.

“We are incredibly proud to be working alongside such a well-known business that has been instrumental in the development of the local waste recycling strategy.

“We are looking forward to working with the management team to help them achieve their strategy going forward into the next decade and bringing our firm-wide depth of expertise to help them achieve their growth ambitions.”

Jon Adams, Eco’s Finance Director, said: “With our rapid growth and continued expansion across the recycling and renewable energy sectors we needed accountants who understood and matched our ambition.

“We have a 32-acre site in Parley plus an anaerobic digester facility in Piddlehinton and a waste transfer facility in Weymouth.

“With more than 40 staff and investment in the business this year alone of several million pounds it was essential we selected our accountants with great care.”

Saffery Champness LLP is the 12th largest firm of chartered accountants in the UK (by fee income).

The firm has 83 partners and more than 700 staff across nine UK offices.
