A fast-growing Dorset tech firm says it expects to take on more staff after signing a cooperation agreement with the BBC.
Spyrosoft, which has its head office in Bournemouth, will support the public broadcaster with digital engineering augmentation services in the UK.
It will act as an external partner providing technology expertise and resources to expand the BBC’s media technology teams.
The collaboration is for an initial period of three years.
Spyrosoft Ltd has hailed the agreement as a “significant milestone” and says it will involve expansion in terms of both resources and locations.
For the assignments/projects, the company plans to hire additional software testers in the field of quality assurance, software engineers and other key media technology resources.
Spyrosoft will also be opening new regional offices in locations including London and Manchester.
Andrew Radcliffe, Co-Founder & Managing Director UK, said: “By staying at the forefront of innovation, we’re looking forward to supporting one of the leading players in the global media and entertainment industry with our technology skills and experience as we undertake our digital journey together.”
Spyrosoft now has more than 1,500 consultants working across 15 offices in nine countries.
The firm has been included in the Financial Times ranking of 1,000 fastest-growing technology companies for three consecutive years: 2021, 2022 and 2023.
The BBC agreement is expected to increase the number of people employed by Spyrosoft in the UK to 150 over the next few years.
