Starring role for Poole company in TV programme looking at construction industry

A Poole company will be playing a starring role in a TV programme this weekend.

Specialist metal decking contractor Composite Profiles is to be featured on Executive TV which is broadcast on Sky channel 191 on Sunday, November 10, at 10am.

The 15-minute programme was filmed over a six-month period at the firm’s head office in Poole and also The Stage Shoreditch, London.

It is the latest in an ‘Engineering the Future’ series, looking at the modern nature of the UK construction industry.

The programme’s billing describes Composite Profiles as a key player in the UK construction industry with the firm evolving to be one of the most respected specialists in the industry.

Construction and property developer O’Shea, which currently has more than £1.75bn worth of developments under construction in London, and SDM Fabrications both collaborated witbh the making of the programme and allowed filming access to The Stage Shoreditch.

Composite Profiles was founded 27 years ago and was one of the UK’s first structural metal decking contractors.

The company serves all sectors including government, retail, health, education, business, logistics and leisure.

It employs 20 permanent staff and up to 40 subcontractors at three locations – Poole,  Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and Derby – with an annual turnover in excess of £6m.

Sunday’s programme will be repeated on December 1 at 10am. It will also be viewable from Monday at www.compositeuk.com/construction-in-the-uk/
