Top performers in what proved to be a milestone year were celebrated at the 2022 Hendy Group awards.

Around 1,300 team members headed to the Bournemouth International Centre for the family motor group’s gala evening.
Eleven awards were presented to colleagues from across the business which represents more than 20 franchises and employs over 1,600 people in Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Sussex, Surrey, Kent and Devon.
TV and radio presenter Colin Murray acted as host.

Paul Hendy, Chief Executive, pictured left, said he was extremely proud of the contribution everyone had made to the success of the company.
He described 2022 as a real milestone for Hendy Group with turnover reaching £1 billion.
Paul said: “Covid meant the toughest trading conditions since the Second World War but we knuckled down and showed resilience.
“Tonight is about recognition for the jobs you do and 2023 is going to be our biggest year no question.”

Dorset winners included the Jaguar Land Rover sales team which was awarded Team of the Year for its work across Christchurch, Southampton and Salisbury.
Nick Mead, from Hendy Nissan Bournemouth, was named Sales Colleague of the Year.
The key Hall of Fame award was presented to two colleagues in recognition of the tremendous contribution both played in the business.

Mark Sanger, Group Used Car Sales Buyer, pictured right, and Pauline Allen, Hendy Truck Administration Manager, were inducted into the Hendy Hall of Fame.
Paul said that Mark was a company and industry stalwart.
He also paid tribute to the 25 years’ service Pauline has given the truck division.
Speaking at the awards, Hendy Chairman Simon Gulliford described the achievements of the group as amazing and paid tribute to all the colleagues who have contributed to the growth and success.
He added: “It’s down to the people who make the big difference.
“We are now seeing the sixth generation of the Hendy family and the company is six times larger than when I joined in 2014.”
