It’s back!

Beach Yoga Fest – the UK’s first, and only, beach yoga festival returns to Bournemouth this June.

Tickets for the 2020 event, from June 19 to 21, go on sale today, Friday February 14.

Three days of inclusive yoga classes – aimed at beginners and experienced yogis – will take place on the UK’s number one beach (as designated by TripAdvisor 2019) in the nation’s top tourist destination.

Last year’s inaugural festival attracted 400 people over three days with 55 classes involving 18 local yoga instructors.

This year’s Beach Yoga Fest will take place at the same location as last year, opposite Happyland.

It will feature a larger themed sunset chillout area with hammocks, branded deck chairs, tables and parasols.

More than 60 classes will take place including Yin Yoga, Ashtanga, Sun Salutations, Gong Bath, SUP Yoga (tide permitting), Aerial Yoga and Family Yoga with lots more planned as well.

Other features include an exhibitor area, creche facilities, Kids Zone, additional wellness classes, talks and demos, free massages and a healthy food selection and drinks (vegan and vegetarian).

Ali Sheik, Co-Founder, Beach Yoga Fest, pictured left, said: ‘To put on any event is a challenge, but after receiving such positive feedback from those who attended we knew we had to do it again.

“It’s great to have the support of BCP Council, local yoga instructors, local companies and of course those who attended.

“This year is definitely a step up as we’re adding more classes, a bigger chillout area, more talks and more activities.

“We want to make this one of the best events in the South West and help make Bournemouth a number 1 fitness destination to complement its tourism accolades.”

Nina Fox, Yoga Instructor and fellow Co-Founder of Beach Yoga Fest, pictured right, added: “We are so excited to be bringing this incredible event to Bournemouth beach for a second year.

“We had a fantastic response to the festival last year and many festival goers are already keen to come back this year.

“We are very proud at what we have created and also the business relationships that we have been building along the way.”

Sponsors confirmed so far for this year’s event include Madding Crowd, Shepherds Neame, Double Dutch and TWK Scaffolding with more set to be announced.

The class schedule will be revealed in coming months.

Updates on classes and activity will be via social media channels Instagram (beachyogafest) and Facebook (beach yoga fest).
