More than £14,000 worth of art was sold with over £5,000 donated to charity by Art4Action last year.

An initiative to sell and promote local arts while raising money for charity is staging its first exhibition in Wareham on Saturday August 7.
Art4Action was created by Malcolm and Julie Lewis last year at the height of the first lockdown.
The couple, pictured left, are publishers of the Wareham Tower Chimes and Visit Wareham websites for Wareham Town Council.
Among Art4Action’s first fundraising activities were online auctions for the Dorset Coronavirus Community Appeal and the Routes to Roots homeless charity in Poole.
More than £14,000 worth of art was sold with over £5,000 donated to these and other charities.
The Art4Action exhibition on August 7 at Wareham’s Corn Exchange, pictured right, is a fundraising event in support of Purbeck’s artists, the Purbeck Youth and Community Foundation and Frontline 19.
Original paintings, fine art prints, greetings cards and locally made crafts will be on display and for sale.
Malcolm said: “It is the artists that make Art4Action possible, through their generosity in donating a quarter of the money they receive from their sales towards our chosen charities and good causes.
“This is the case on Saturday when 25 per cent will be split between our two latest, and very worthy, causes – the Purbeck Youth and Community Foundation and Frontline19.
“The Purbeck Youth and Community Foundation offer some fantastic support for young people in our local community.
“It is a charitable organisation that was formed in 2016 by local volunteers to help and support young people in Purbeck.
“Their qualified staff support young people’s individual needs and, when necessary, signpost them to further help on a diverse range of issues.
“Its members have highlighted the club as somewhere they feel safe, where they can meet their friends but also make new ones, relax, enjoy themselves and take advantage of new opportunities.
“Frontline19 is an independent UK nationwide service delivering psychological support to those who are, or have been, on the frontline of Covid-19.
“They aim to ensure the right help is given quickly and easily, confidentially and for free.
“Please help by coming along to our first exhibition at the Corn Exchange, Wareham to see and buy some fantastic art produced by local Purbeck artists.”
The Art4Action exhibition is held from 10am until 4pm.
