Tell the world! Export packing and freight firm founded 60 years ago launches fresh website

It may be one of Dorset’s longest-established companies – incorporated in 1961 – but John Pipe International is sporting a fresh new website.

The export packing and freight company, which has premises in Poole and Southampton, launched the site to update its branding and showcase its full range of specialist services.

Nathan Kennedy, Managing Director, pictured left, approached Digital Storm at the end of last year seeking a new look for John Pipe International.

The brief involved designing and developing a website that would be easy for new and existing customers to find online.

All the team at Digital Storm were involved in the project.

Curtis Williams managed the design and build alongside Oli Evans, Head of Design, and Alex Stones, Web Developer.

Meanwhile Natalka Antoniuk, Marketing Manager, curated a marketing strategy to grow the business and produced all of the search engine optimisation (SEO) content to help John Pipe International reach key goals.

The new website went live in May.

Since its launch, Digital Storm’s marketing team has worked hard on the SEO to build John Pipe’s visibility.

The result has been a growth in organic traffic as well as improvements in search engine rankings for targeted keywords.

Natalka said: “The site is bright and inviting, perfectly showcasing the scope of what John Pipe International offer.

“It’s easier for new and existing customers to find them and get in touch.

“And they’ve even launched a brand new blog to help people understand what’s going on when it comes to exporting goods.”

As well as the website and new blog, Digital Storm helped John Pipe International further enhance its online presence with social media.

A recent poll conducted by Digital Storm found that 77 per cent of businesses post on LinkedIn more than three times per week.

Olivia Girling, Marketing Executive, pictured right, recognised that this would be a great opportunity for John Pipe International to increase its online reach.

She said: “The John Pipe project started as just a website.

“But as we worked more on the brand, we discovered the social side of the business.

“A friendly team combined with a tight-knit industry means there is a great opportunity on social media for the brand to interact directly with its audience.”

John Pipe International specialises in made-to-measure packing solutions for any sized export.

They range from individual cardboard boxes to carefully crafted wooden cases and bespoke solutions to meet the needs of any given project.

It has both ISO 9001 and MPAS accreditations and can also organise freight forwarding.

Over the years it has developed strong relationships with freight providers including leading airlines, harbours and land freight providers.
