Each week we shine the spotlight on a member of Dorset’s business community and ask him, or her, for answers to our part fun/part serious questionnaire. This time…
Her favourite holiday location is the Greek Islands, she’d choose steamed sponge pudding over melon, like to share a car with Louis Theroux and wants to be remembered for ‘being epic’.
The tables are turned as Miranda Robertson, Editor, The New Blackmore Vale, occupies the 20 Questions’ hot seat.

Question: What is your favourite TV show?
Answer: The Apprentice, Bake-Off and Casualty are level pegging.
Q: Who would you like to share a car with?
A: Louis Theroux.
Q: The best bit of my job is…?
A: Finding amazing people around the Blackmore Vale to write about.
Q: And the worst…?

Q: Who was your childhood hero?
A: Peter Green (Fleetwood Mac).
Q: What’s your favourite smell?
A: Three actually. Bread, hyacinths and vintage car interiors.
Q: Where’s your favourite place in Dorset?
A: Possibly Revels Fishery in Cosmore. Or home in Maiden Newton, by the river where we all swim. We call it Maiden Newton Beach! Anywhere low key – never been a fan of crowds.
Q: What advice would you give to anyone starting out on a career?
A: Speak to people actually doing the job – they will tell you if there’s a good future to be had. Take one of the multiple choice quizzes online, which give you a list of jobs you’d be good at. The results may surprise you!
Q: What was your first record/CD?
A: Possibly something by Adam and the Ants.

A: People being untruthful. Bullies. Unfairness.

A: Greek meze/cheese.
Q: Steamed sponge pudding and custard or a plate of melon?
A: Steamed sponge pudding!
Q: Name the best thing about living/working in Dorset?
A: The ability to be in a totally different environment with half an hour – town, country, seaside…
Q: If you were Prime Minister for the day what would be the first thing you do?
A: Comb my hair and stop talking nonsense.
Q: What’s your biggest frustration?
A: That billionaires get away with tax evasion while the poorest in society get clobbered.
Q: Where’s your favourite holiday location?
A: Greek islands. I adore the food, the people, the landscape…
Q: Where do you see yourself in ten years’ time?
A: Overseeing a load of hyperlocal community magazines, rolling out the Blackmore Vale magic.
Q: What would you like to be remembered for?
A: Being epic.
