Virtual Day Care: Patient feedbackOur Virtual Day Hospice service is leading the way nationally on innovation with the launch, in January, of our new service during the Covid-19 pandemic. This month we wanted to find out more about Lyndsey Howard, PA to our CEO and Board of Trustees, pictured.

What’s the best thing about your job?

What I love about my job is the collaborative environment we work in. There is a genuine spirit of cooperation and shared goals amongst the teams and we all work together to achieve great outcomes. I very much enjoy being the person who has the responsibility of organising and planning things from the outset and throughout.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever been given?

Ask the important questions and view every person you meet as a door that may lead you to a new opportunity. Cheesy I know!

Tell us something about yourself that we wouldn’t know

I studied Tourism Business at Bournemouth University, I worked at Butlins in Minehead during my gap year and I can turn my eyelids inside out –  ok, that’s 3 things!!

Describe yourself in three words

Optimistic, curious and motivated.

If you were going to rule the world for the day, what law would you introduce?

Free swimming lessons for children of all ages.

Your best place for a holiday is?

In the UK, it would have to be the Lake District. It is just so pretty and great for all ages to enjoy. Or anywhere hot on a beach with a cocktail in hand.

Our aim is to help as many local people as possible, who are dealing with a life limiting illness, to live their precious lives well.

There is no charge to attend Lewis-Manning Hospice Care.
