Think Research, the Bournemouth-based independent air traffic management and airports consultancy, has been awarded the King’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category.

The accolade, which is seen by many as the most prestigious business award in the UK, comes as Think celebrates its 20th anniversary.

Think has been recognised for its sustained success in growing their clients, sales and delivery globally, resulting in the business tripling its international revenue over the past three years.

Overseas projects now represent three quarters of its total business.

Conor Mullan, Managing Director says of this outstanding achievement: “Since our beginnings 20 years ago we have always set out to be a global business.

“Aviation is a global industry and in order to remain at the very forefront of the market and learn from experiences around the world international trade is critical to our success.

“This is the highest honour a business can receive in the UK and we are incredibly honoured.

“My thanks must go to our global clients for continually putting their faith in our work, and to the team here at Think for their hard work and commitment delivering successful consultancy projects all over the world.”

Think will be presented with the award by His Majesty’s representative, the Lord Lieutenant of Dorset before attending a reception at Windsor Castle hosted by His Majesty the King.

Commenting on this year’s King’s Awards more widely, Minister for Enterprise Kevin Hollinrake said: “I congratulate this year’s recipients of the King’s Awards for Enterprise in the South East.

“Businesses like Red Fox ID and Stainless Games are an example to all, producing quality British goods and services and selling them to the world.

“I wish them every success and commend the invaluable contributions they make to communities both at home and overseas, helping to grow the UK economy.”
