A long-established international English teacher training centre based in Bournemouth has launched a new digital platform.
The all-new site – www.ittc.co.uk – is aimed at attracting people from the UK and overseas to teach English at home or abroad.
International Teaching and Training Centre (ITTC) has been training English language teachers since 1984.
Following the UK’s departure from the EU, ITTC wanted to ensure that international opportunities were still very much available to aspiring teachers.
Chris Bunyan, Joint Head of Teacher Training, said “It was very important for us to launch our new website to let people know that, following Brexit, there are still countless teaching opportunities around the UK and EU, as well as a rapidly increasing number of positions in countries beyond Europe.”
The new website, designed and built by Bournemouth marketing agency Digital Storm, will help ITTC to continue offering programmes to teachers from Europe and further afield.
The centre offers a wide variety of courses in TEFL – now more commonly known as TESOL or Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages – to both domestic and international teacher trainees.
This includes the globally-recognised CELTA course, which is awarded by a department of the University of Cambridge.
ITTC will continue to offer the popular and practical course, which equips trainees with all the skills and knowledge required to teach anywhere in the world.
The centre runs courses both in the UK and around the world, in countries as diverse as Turkey, Russia and Libya.
It also has a close working relationship with many local schools, to deliver 6th Form Introduction to TESOL courses, and provide teachers with support for dealing with non-native students in their primary and secondary classes.
ITTC has welcomed thousands of trainees and experienced teachers from more than 60 nations.
The new and improved website includes a user-friendly course finder and a digital booking platform.
Sarah Beasley, Marketing Executive of BEET Language Centre, ITTC’s sister school, said: “Working alongside Digital Storm has enabled us to make drastic improvements to our website’s user experience.
“The new platform allows us to now fully showcase our impressive portfolio of teacher training courses and free TEFL Taster Days.”
