Trethowans makes double Central South partner promotion

Trethowans, a law firm with five offices across the Central South, has promoted Linden Talbot and Amy Croxford to partner.

Linden joined the firm in 2018 as a property litigator and has been pivotal in growing the firm’s property litigation offering.

He has extensive experience in his field and has acted for clients in the court of appeal, high court, county courts and the upper and first-tier property tribunals.

Linden said: “I’m very pleased to have been promoted to partner.

“It’s been an exciting time growing the firm’s property litigation services.

“We now have four dedicated specialists in the team, with expertise ranging from providing advice on landlord and tenant disputes (including renewals, dilapidations and rent reviews) to working on complex disputes through the property tribunals and the courts.

“I’m grateful to our valued clients and our network of external professionals, which includes surveyors, barristers and agents, and I’d like to thank them all for their continued support of the team.”

Amy arrived at Trethowans more recently in 2021, specialising solely in wills, trusts and probate disputes.

She’s known for her technical expertise and has been integral in the expansion of the firm’s disputed wills, estates and probate offering. Amy also works closely with the private client team.

Amy said: “I’m proud and excited to have been made a partner at Trethowans, a firm that shares my vision and values and has supported me to deliver a high quality of service to clients.

“Individuals involved in disputed wills, trusts and estates can find it extremely stressful and difficult to manage matters emotionally and financially.

“I’m committed to working closely with them to reach a resolution at the earliest possible stage.

“With rapidly increasing numbers of claims relating to disputed wills and estates, I’m looking forward to growing our team of specialists further in 2024.”

Linden and Amy’s work spans the Central South region, including Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire.

Managing partner Mike Watson added: “We offer our congratulations to Linden and Amy on their promotions to partner.

“It’s very satisfying to develop and promote the talent that we have within the firm, allowing us to continue our growth across the business.”
