Seafood fans are being advised to mark their calendars for what’s billed as an unforgettable evening in Sandbanks next month.
TV chef Jack Stein is teaming up with broadcaster, author and Celebrity MasterChef 2022 champion Lisa Snowdon for the next instalment of his Seafood Odyssey Series.
It takes place on Thursday 28th November from 7pm to 10pm at Rick Stein Sandbanks.
Chef director and seafood virtuoso Jack has worked alongside culinary enthusiast Lisa to craft a six-course feast to celebrate Britain’s seafood.
On the menu will be salted anchovies with sourdough; fresh tuna crudo with ricotta and lemon stuffed courgette flower; crispy tempura prawns and wasabi peas; a crab linguine with brown Cornish crab meat – all rounded off with a chocolate pavê with Cornish clotted cream.
Tickets are priced at £95 per person and include a welcome cocktail inspired by the chef’s chosen tipples – either a Margarita (Lisa’s drink of choice) or a Negroni (Jack’s favourite).
Charlie Stein, Rick Stein Restaurants’ Director & Head of Wine, has also created an exclusive wine pairing to complement each dish, available as an optional add-on.
The event will also be raising money for two good causes with £10 from each ticket donated to the chef’s chosen charities (£5 each) – One Feeds Two (a non-profit charity donating meals to children living in poverty supported by Rick Stein) and Meningitis Now.
Lisa is President and long-time supporter of the UK meningitis charity.
The Sandbanks event is the second in the Seafood Odyssey Series which sees Jack welcome leading chefs and foodie friends to Rick Stein restaurants across London and the south to celebrate a shared love of fish and shellfish.
Jack said: “Lisa and I met back in lockdown, and it was great to watch her win the title of Celebrity MasterChef.
“She’s a brilliant, passionate cook who loves adding fun twists to dishes and the perfect foodie to welcome to Rick Stein Sandbanks for what promises to be an epic evening of seafood, wine and great conversation.”
