The Unique Group, a Poole-based provider of fire safety, security, tech, electrical, renewable energy and property solutions, has announced the acquisitions of Drewlec and ASG, two well-established companies in their respective sectors.

Drewlec is an electrical contracting company which was established back in 1964, with the move expanding the the solutions provided by the group.

Bradley Williams, Managing Director of Unique Group, expressed excitement about the collaboration.

He said: “We are delighted to welcome Drewlec to the Unique family.

“By combining Drewlec’s expertise with our commitment to excellence, we aim to broaden our service offerings and create a stronger network of electrical solutions.”

ASG, meanwhile, is known for it’s work in the fire and security industry in Cornwall and Devon.

The move offers a strategic opportunity for Unique to expand its footprint in the South-West region, while offering an enhanced package of solutions and services to ASG’s clients.

Craig Moore, Commercial Director of Unique Group, commented: “We are thrilled to welcome ASG Security into the Unique family.

“This strategic move highlights our commitment to delivering exceptional fire and security solutions across the southwest.

“We look forward to extending our high standards of service to ASG’s valued customers.”

Both acquisitions support the Unique Group’s aim to become a leading local combined provider in the South West.

The group has said it will retain all electricians, engineers and office staff at both the acquired businesses in a move it hopes will continue existing values at both companies as well as ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted transition for existing clients.

On top of this, key personnel from the acquired companies, including individuals like Nick Hand and Martin Singleton, will remain pivotal in their operations.
