Uprated celebrates 10 years of operation in the digital marketing sector

Uprated, a Bournemouth-based digital marketing and web design agency, is celebrating its tenth year in business.

The agency was co-founded by Jon Darch and Andy White, who sought to leverage their extensive experience in both agency and client-side roles to create a service-oriented agency focused on excellence in digital marketing and web design.

In the decade since its inception, Uprated has seen consistent growth, even amid challenging economic times. The agency has succeeded in securing a stable client base, with long-term contracts accounting for 75% of its turnover. This year, Uprated anticipates its most successful financial year, attributing this achievement to its team’s dedication and the effective results produced for its clients.

The onset of the pandemic posed significant challenges, as a substantial portion of the agency’s retained clients paused or reduced their marketing activities. Despite these hurdles, Uprated chose not to furlough staff but instead expanded its team and adjusted its services, ultimately achieving double-digit growth during that period.

Uprated’s tenth anniversary was commemorated with a gathering at the Nici hotel, featuring cake, photographs, and a meal at 7bone, reflecting the agency’s culture of team cohesion, including for those who work remotely.

Looking forward, Uprated plans to expand its team and enhance its service offerings, including boosting its content production capabilities. The agency is also exploring options for a larger operational space to accommodate its growing staff.

Commenting on the milestone, Jon said: “Turning 10 is a significant milestone for the agency and I’m hugely proud of the team (past and present) who have helped us get to this stage and delivered some incredible work for the clients who’ve joined us on this journey.

“Despite being 10, we still have much to achieve and the future is bright. I very much look forward to the next 10!”
