A private skin clinic has been named as the Dorset winner at the Town & County Business Champions awards.
Christchurch Derma Spa was nominated for the award by a member of the public last November.
In March it was shortlisted as one of the best in Dorset and, at the grand final at the Copthorne Tara Hotel in Kensington, London, the clinic won top honours.
Kirsty Campbell, Founder and skin expert at Christchurch Derma Spa, pictured left, said: “When someone kindly nominated me for the Business Champion awards last year I was so chuffed.
“It meant so much that someone had taken their time to nominate me.
“Back then, I’d had to close my skin care clinic doors again for lockdown 2.
“It certainly had been a pretty tough year, so just being nominated felt like a ray of sunshine.
“I had no idea that a few months later I would be selected as the winner!
“Even finding out I had been chosen as a finalist felt like a huge achievement, given how many amazing small businesses there are in Dorset.
“The awards turned out to be such a great day, even before the winners were announced.
“It was so nice to have a day out and head off to the celebration.
“I couldn’t believe it when they announced the Dorset winner and I heard the words ‘Christchurch Derma Spa’, but I am so grateful to receive the award.
“It really was a special day to remember and an achievement I am very proud of.”
The Town & County Business Champions awards celebrate the very best of local businesses.
Any business with less than 50 employees can enter.
They range from independent coffee shops and accountancy firms to digital marketing agencies and skin care clinics.
Christchurch Derma Spa is also in the running for the British Hair and Beauty Awards 2021, having been shortlisted as a finalist for the Aesthetic Salon of the Year.
The clinic won the category in 2020 and also won the Aesthetics Awards in 2019.
