A wedding planner who spends her life making couple’s dreams come true found herself in the spotlight when she picked up a top award.

Sam Savage, of South Coast Weddings, won the wedding planner category at the South West regional finals of The Wedding Industry Awards.

She’ll now go through to the national final at London’s Cafe de Paris next January.

The Wedding Industry Awards were set up to recognise excellent wedding suppliers as well as help wedding organisers to source the best suppliers.

Winners are decided using client’s feedback and judging panel input.

Sam said: “I’ve never entered before so I wasn’t expecting to win.

“We are extremely grateful to our clients for taking the time to provide feedback, enabling us to win.

“We are so lucky to work with the loveliest couples and love what we do.”

Other Dorset winners at the South West final were:

• Cake designer – The Crumb Factory, Poole.
• Make up artist – Amazing Face, Poole.
• Photographer – Richard Skins Photography, Bournemouth.

The regional final was held at The Frogmill, Shipton Oliffe in Cheltenham.
