Business consultant and massage therapist Jemma Sandell is combining her skills to launch a new Workplace Wellness programme in Ferndown.

The multi-award-winning professional aims to support employers, their staff and entrepreneurs.

“Workplace Wellness is born out of the worrying rise I’ve seen in clients going through stress, anxiety and low mood, which is manifesting itself in stress-induced aches and pains,” said Jemma.

The programme incorporates hands-on treatment, with coaching techniques tailored to each client.

It’s designed for anyone experiencing stress or change in their work or personal life who may need a safe space to talk, self-help techniques to manage difficult times, and the healing benefits of massage.

“When life’s pressures are taking their toll, Workplace Wellness is here to provide holistic support, coaching tools, mindfulness techniques, and a bespoke fusion of clinical and relaxation massage techniques,” Jemma added.

She’s hoping to help clients understand that stress and anxiety aren’t just in their head.

“It’s physical and intertwined with our thoughts, emotions, and environment.

“That’s why my approach considers every aspect of well-being, addressing the biological, psychological and social factors at play.

“Each session is thoughtfully designed to address immediate physical discomfort and provide the space and guidance needed to navigate emotional challenges.”

The Workplace Wellness programme offers an initial consultation and goal-setting assessment, followed by six ninety-minute sessions combining hands-on treatment and coaching.

Self-care and wellness tips for home care are also included, along with access to support from Jemma during business hours via WhatsApp.

The programme is designed to work around the hectic lives of business owners and their teams.

“Finding time to get off the treadmill of day-to-day pressures can be a challenge for us all,” said Jemma, “but it’s time well spent if it avoids staff burn-out and overwhelm.”

Jemma’s business, Relax and Remedy, has just celebrated its fifth birthday in Dorset and is based at the Arena Business Centre in Ferndown.

A former salon owner, Jemma has grown her multi-award-winning solo treatment business from scratch after bouncing back from bankruptcy.

She’s a business success consultant, advanced clinical massage therapist, skin specialist, and an advocate for solopreneurs in the health, wellness and beauty industries.
