Yellow Buses is to provide a free minibus shuttle service for this weekend’s Family Fest in Wimborne.

The company says it’s proud to be the travel partner for the two-day family festival which is set to bring families and the community together.

This is the fourth year of the event.

It’s held on Saturday and Sunday between 11am to 7pm at The Meadows on the outskirts of town.

The free mini-bus shuttle service from Yellow Buses will take festival-goers from Wimborne town centre to the festival site.

Priority will be given to event ticket-holders who are Yellow Bus users but others can also use the shuttle service.

Fiona Harwood, Yellow Buses’ Marketing and Sales Manager, said: “As a locally owned and locally operated business, we are very pleased to be supporting Family Fest this year.

“After the tough year everyone has had, it’s great to be bringing families together again.”

The line-up for this year’s Family Fest includes:

  • 50+ traders from Dorset & surrounding counties in a Traders Village
  • 20+ hours of live music across two stages from local artists
  • Licensed bar providing local artisan gins, soft drinks, beer, wine and spirits
  • Burgers, hot dogs, nachos, Mexican and chicken wraps in a Food Corner
  • Mascot appearances from Tooth Fairy & Y-Man across the weekend
  • Charity Dog show by Waggy Tails Rescue with a selection of different competitions including Temptation Alley, Best 6 Legs, Best Rescue, Waggiest Tail and more
  • Family Funfair including tea cups, bungee trampolines, play centre and hook-a-duck
  • Inflatable Zone including redo bull, mega slide, bungee run, sumo suits, bouncy castles and splat the rat
  • Eco Hub with Our Planet Zero Waste
  • Active Zone with Beryl
  • Family & Friends Fun Zone

Family Fest is delivered by a small team of festival creators and makers from Bournemouth and Wimborne.

All have a passion for community events and bringing families together.

Rob Batson, Founder, said: “Family Fest is about spreading the love and joy and, after the last year, we are doing just that this weekend.

“On our new site in Wimborne, we have plenty to do and see across the weekend in the countryside.

“We are proud to have connected with many local businesses, including Yellow Buses, which has supported our event for 2021.

“We are keen to support local and are promoting visits to Wimborne while at our event.”

Entry is priced at £1 for anyone aged six and over.

Some activities are free to participate but there are charges for other activities.

Prices will be displayed by traders and activity providers on the day.
